Skyld at AI Business Day: The Summit for Action on Artificial Intelligence
The AI Business Day, part of the AI Action Summit organized under the Élysée’s patronage, has become the must-attend event for AI players in France. Held at Station F on February 11th, the event brought together businesses, researchers, and policymakers to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to AI.
This event featured initiatives supported by Bpifrance, France Digitale, Numeum, and Station F, highlighting the crucial role these organizations play in the development of AI in France.
Edge AI in the Spotlight
→ Qualcomm showcased a demonstration of its edge AI capabilities, illustrating the technological advances that enable data processing directly on devices, without relying on the cloud.
→ A panel discussion with STMicroelectronics also highlighted the industrial and economic challenges of this approach, which promises more autonomy and faster response times for smart systems.
A Lack of Discussions on AI Security
While the performance and applications of AI were widely discussed, one essential topic was left out: securing AI models. Today, businesses are increasingly integrating AI into their products and services, but the issue of protecting them from theft, attacks, or misuse has been scarcely addressed. Without security, there is no trust.
