Skyld on the Red Carpet: Review of WAICF 2025
From February 13 to 15, 2025, the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes hosted the 4th edition of the World AI Cannes Festival (WAICF), a major event dedicated to artificial intelligence. For the third year in a row, Skyld took part in this global AI event!
An event open to innovation of all sizes
What makes WAICF special is that it’s not just for the big companies. A startup village brought together 27 innovative startups. Skyld was part of this dynamic ecosystem, representing the startups shaping the future of AI, with a special focus on its security.
Startup demos and pitches
In addition to the conferences and panels, WAICF offered demos of solutions and startup pitches, with over 50 young companies showcasing their projects.
One of the highlights of our participation was the presentation by our cybersecurity expert, Mathis Mauvisseau, on “Model Extraction: Why You Should Care And How To Protect Yourself?”. This session, held on Thursday, February 13 from 10:30 to 11:00 on stage 2, allowed many industry players to learn about the importance of securing AI models in a world where threats are constantly changing.
Valuable meetings with clients and partners
WAICF was also a great opportunity to meet potential clients and partners interested in our solutions.
The event was a key moment for Skyld, allowing us to showcase our security solutions while connecting with important players in the AI field.
