Skyld Wins the #WomenInTech Award: A Big Step for AI Cybersecurity and Women in Tech

06 Mar 2025 By Skyld Labs

On March 6, Marie Paindavoine, founder of Skyld, won the very first #WomenInTech award, organized by Wavestone and Les Echos. This award celebrates women entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of tech in Europe.

A Tough Selection Among 50+ Startups

A jury of industry experts had the difficult job of choosing from over 50 applications from European startups led by women. The competition was strong, with each project showing great impact and innovation. Out of 50 startups, 5 were invited to pitch at Wavestone headquarter for the final:

Breezy AI: AI-powered solution to prevent data leaks.
LuxQuantum: Advancing quantum encryption.
Astran: A platform to keep businesses running even during cyberattacks.
Iliadata: A cryptographic approach to protecting sensitive data.

Out of those incredible deeptech projects, Skyld stood out! Our security solution, specially designed for AI models running on-device, was recognized as a key innovation in preventing IP theft and advanced attacks on AI models.

A Big Win for Women Entrepreneurs

Beyond the award, Marie will now join Wavestone’s Shake’Up accelerator—an opportunity to help Skyld benefit from Wavestone expertise in AI and cybersecurity. Skyld will also gain mediatic exposure from Les Echos.

This victory is also a powerful message for all women fighting to change the game in male-dominated industries. Marie’s success proves that passion and innovation can drive real change and inspire future generations.

See you next year for the next edition! In the meantime, congratulations to Marie Paindavoine and all the finalists!
